What is a Prosthodontist?
Prosthodontists are specialists in the restoration and replacement of missing teeth and oral/facial structures with natural, esthetic, and functional replacements. This includes surgical implant placement, the simple to most complex implant-supported restorations, laboratory and clinical training in esthetics/cosmetics, crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, removable complete and partial dentures, dental implants, TMD-jaw joint problems, traumatic injuries to the mouth’s structures, congenital or birth anomalies and/or teeth, snoring and sleep disorders, as well as oral cancer prosthetic reconstruction and continuing care.
What is a Periodontist?
A periodontist is a dentist who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease, and in the placement of dental implants. Periodontists are also experts in the treatment of oral inflammation. Periodontists receive extensive training in these areas, including three additional years of education beyond dental school. They are familiar with the latest techniques for diagnosing and treating periodontal disease, and are also trained in performing cosmetic periodontal procedures.

Dr. Beom (Mike) Park

PERIODONTIST & PROSTHODONTIST
Dr. Park is one of Canada’s very few dual specialist in Periodontics and Prosthodontics. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2009 from the University of Alberta, after which he worked as a general dentist for two years in Edmonton and Calgary. He then attended the Boston University, where he received specialty training in Prosthodontics (CAGS, MSD) and Periodontics (CAGS).
Dr. Chiungyun (Kiri) Chang
DDS, MSD, FRCD(C)
PERIODONTIST
Dr. Chang received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2005. She then attended Boston University for periodontics specialty training (CAGS, MSD).
As a periodontist, Dr. Chang has a particular interest in implants, soft tissue surgery, bone grafting and periodontal surgery.
Dr. Dongdong Fang
DDS, PhD, FRCD(C)
PERIODONTIST
Dr. Fang obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2008. After four years in dental practice, he went to McGill University for PhD training. Afterwards, Dr. Fang received his specialty certificate in periodontics from the University of Alberta.
Dr. Fang has a special interest in periodontal disease treatment, soft tissue grafts, and surgeries related to implant placement and repair.

OFFICE MANAGER
Christine is our office manager. She has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta. Christine brings a new perspective to Clear Dental. She is responsible for keeping the office running smoothly and ensuring each patient’s experience is exceptional.
When Christine is not at the office, she loves to travel and to try new things. Her current interests include snowboarding, jigsaw puzzles and photography.
